Amino Acid Assay:
Why should you test for Amino Acids? Failure to maintain adequate amino acid levels can influence many physical/mental/emotional functions. Correction is simple with custom compounded amino acid powders formulated to your specific test results. Custom compounding ensures a balanced ratio of amino acids, offsetting the risk of imbalance sometimes seen with the use of single amino acids.

Adrenal Stress Index (ASI):
The adrenal glands are responsible for the secretion of the body’s major stress hormones, cortisol and DHEA(S). These hormones are not released constantly throughout the day but are secreted in a cycle called the circadian rhythm, with the highest values being in the morning and the lowest at night. Anyone suffering with one or more of the following symptoms should consider the ASI test: Low energy, muscle and joint pain, osteoporosis, chronic stress, obesity, sleep disturbance, depressed immune system, poor skin regeneration.

Dysbiosis Metabolic Markers:
The generation of toxic chemicals by the action of colonic bacteria on undigested meat protein, leads to putrefactive dysbiosis in the colon. Dysbiosis can produce obvious intestinal symptoms of diarrhoea, burning, bloating, cramping and constipation. Effects can be as diverse as: headache, insomnia, behavioural disorders, joint pain, learning disorders, immune dysfuntion, chronic fatigue, nutritional deficiencies.

Gluten Intolerance:
Bloating, stomach pains, fatigue, diarrhoea or constipation, weight loss or gain, muscular pain and stiffness…. with symptoms worse after eating wheat, rye, oats or barlely. Many people have an adverse reaction to gluten which is part of the protein found in wheat, rye, oats and barley. In extreme cases this manifests as celiac disease. However many sufferers, find that their health improves dramatically with the removal of gluten from their diet.

Female Hormone Imbalance:
PMS, Irregular menstrual cycles, infertility, menopause discomfort, skin elasticity loss, lean body mass, poor muscle and bone development , fatigue, sleep disorders, anxiety/depression, loss of libido. Research has shown that imbalances of Oestrogen and Progesterone, can contribute to oseoporosis, breast cancer, infertility and cardiovascular problems.
spacer Acute food and Inhalant Allergy:
Eczema, asthma, hayfever, urticaria, history of allergies, recurrent childhood, middle ear infection, tonsillitis, colic or glue ear. More than 20% of the population is thought to suffer from allergic symptoms and evidence shows that this incidence is increasing. If is often genetic, and if either parents is “allergic” (i.e. suffers from eczema, asthma, hayfever, or has allergies), there is a 40/80% increase that their children will also suffer from allergies.

Osteoporosis risk:
Osteoporosis is a condition characterised by a degenerative thinning of bones which leads to aches, pains and fractures. One simple indicator or osteoporosis is a decrease in height. Another warning may be tooth loss. In women past middle age, osteoporosis is actually more common than heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis or breast cancer.

Candida Albicans:
Thrush, diarrhoea / constipation, bloating / excess gas, recurrent cystitis, headaches, depression and mood swings, slow metabolism, menstrual cramps and irregularities, lethargy and “foggy-headedness”, acne. Candida albicans is a yeast that is naturally present in the digestive tract.

Helicobacter Pylori:
Duodenal & gastric ulcers, indigestion, excess acidity or dyspepsia, coronary heart disease, chronic superficial gastritis, heartburn, acid reflux, gastric ulcer. This bacterium has been shown to be the single biggest cause of ulcer formation and gastritis. It is now believed that virtually all abdominal ulcers, apart from drug-induced forms, are caused by a Helicobacter infection.
